280 dwellings and 60 bed care home get go ahead at Eye, Mid Suffolk

On Wednesday 8th June, Mid Suffolk District Council resolved to grant permission for 280 dwellings and a 60 bed care home at Eye. CCE supported the scheme with advice on traffic, transport, drainage, flood risk and utilities. The project also required significant input into the production of a Development Brief led by Pegasus Planning Group. Both the application and Development Brief were heard at the committee meeting.

Over the course of a 18 months, the consultant team was involved in public consultation and a series of stakeholder meetings with the Planning & Highway Authorities, local people and the Town Council. The process enabled a thorough examination of the facts and shaped the design and access to the development to minimise impact at known pressure points on the local highway network.
